Our Providers

Kayla grew up in central Arkansas, and graduated with her BSN from Harding University. She moved to Atlanta to attend Emory University, and graduated with a Master’s in Public Health and Master’s of Science in Nursing, with a specialty in Pediatric Primary Care. 

Kayla’s nursing career has spanned multiple locations, including acute in-patient pediatric care, adult in-patient rehab, public health nursing during a COVID-19 response, and her favorite before HSP: school nursing! Through these various experiences, she has learned about how to care for children and their families.

With a heart for caring for communities through supporting caregivers and their kiddos, Kayla is thrilled to be working at Healthy Steps Pediatrics! When Kayla isn’t working, she loves spending time with her husband, Joel, and daughter, Haven - going on walks, reading books, or worshipping at Grace Church at Town Center.
